Abel Black®, our black-colored stainless steel material, has been supplied for the lower thruster section of the new H-II Transfer Vehicle “HTV-X,” a next-generation spacecraft for resupplying the International Space Station.
HTV-X is a next-generation resupply spacecraft with significantly enhanced cargo capacity and operational performance compared to its predecessor. According to recent reports, the first HTV-X, launched in October 2025, successfully completed rendezvous with and capture by the International Space Station (ISS).
The successful launch of HTV-X and its safe rendezvous and capture with the ISS demonstrate that our patented material technology, Abel Black®, delivers exceptional performance and reliability even in the extreme environment of space.
Abel co., Ltd. will continue to contribute to the advancement of industrial and scientific technologies through the development of Abel Black® and our proprietary surface-treatment technologies.
